In February, 2014, Govt of India had sanctioned NSTI for women for state of Goa. NSTI for Women Goa started its functioning w.e.f Oct 2016 from the temporary building ( COE Building ITI Campus Farmagudi, Farmagudi Ponda Goa)
This Institute is imparting vocational training with skill as required by the local industry and also providing need base training to trainees to become Entrepreneurs.
National Skill training institute comes under Govt Of India , Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Women's training cell comes under Directorate General of Training. (DGT)
This institute for women facilitates regular long term training course and short term training programmes in cosmetology trade .Long term course is conducted in levels, such as Craftsmen training scheme (CTS)in cosmetology trade.
CTS COURSE
Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) was initiated by the Govt of India for providing skills in various vocational trades to improve the skilled manpower for technology and Industrial growth of the country. Around 70% of the training period is allotted to practical training and the remaining to theoretical training relating to trade theory.
